Blog » Analysing Simon Mignoletís Season | LFC Stat Show

Posted

Chris and Jon are back with another LFC Stat Show! This week they take an in-depth look at just how Simon Mignolet has performed this season compared to other top goalkeepers in the Premier League and also see how he has improved (or hasnít) since he has been at the club. They also scout some potential targets for the Reds if they were to be in the market for a keeper this summer!

Check out the agenda!

Hi Chris and Jon, thanks for the show- I like these comparison stats shows. I'd love to see a couple of similar things - Firminio comparison year on year over the seasons that he's been here. Lallana comparison to other players similar (ish) to him in the Premier League; although that might be hard as he's pretty unique to me. Also, a stat break down of our three Central Defenders - I feel like Matip is the class of the bunch by some way, but I'd like to see if that is supported by the figures - you could also bring in one or two of our CD targets for comparisons too? Happiness to you and your families.

Chris Pajak is our generational talent

I think a topic could involve Coutinho and how he affects the team in terms of numbers. He's always been regarded as a creative midfielder or number 10 but I was shocked when I found out that he only has 6 assists this season. Maybe he could be compared with similar players around the league, in our team, and with himself in past seasons. Keep up the great work lads.

Hi lads, do you not think it might be a good idea to loan Ward back to Huddersfield next season if they get Premiership football or to another prem club to see what he's like? Provided Karius or Mignolet are happy on the bench

If Mignolet has a howler on the weekend on the back of this I'm holding you responsible.

Great show though again, nice one guys.

Great show, but Kasper Schmeichel is 6'1' not 6'4'. a keeper who I think is top class also is Jack Butland, he was a beast last yr for Stoke and looks like the future for England, yes hes been injured for the whole of this season but I think in a yr or 2 he'll be fooking boss!
