Blog » Liverpool Fans React To 2017/18 Fixtures Released | LFC Daily News LIVE

It's that time of the year where we are all teased with the fixture list for the upcoming season two months before the season starts!

Liverpool kick the season off with an away trip to Watford. The pressure is already on Emre Can to score worldie and bag the three points! After that we have an early game against Arsenal for the second season running, this time at Anfield. A good chance to lay down an early marker and a brilliant first home game for Liverpool fans to make some noise!

September is also sure to bring some interesting games for Liverpool, an away trip to City at the beginning of the month is followed by Burnley at home and Leicester away. A visit to Rafa's Newcastle United completes the month.

October could prove to be Liverpool's biggest test as United at home followed by Spurs away wait for the reds. Having said that our record against the 'top 6' is pretty impressive, but we won't get carried away with thinking it's already done!

The big games in November for the Reds are Southampton and Chelsea back to back which could prove decisive going into the Christmas and New Year period.

December as always, is the busiest month as they have 7 fixtures in the space of 29 days!  The first Merseyside derby of the season is on the 9th and hopefully will give us reason to be singing 'Merry Christmas Everton' again having bagged three points.

Arsenal away on the 23rd is another key fixture, nobody likes going into Christmas on the back of a loss. Last seasons performance at The Emirates was absolutely superb. Wonder goals from Mane and Coutinho will do just fine again please.

If you didn't think there was anything worse than a New Years Day hangover it turns out there is. A trip to Burnley with a hangover. Liverpool played superbly in what was one of their best performances last season but somehow lost 2-0. Hopefully Klopp and co will be seeking revenge and try and put our poor record against the so called lesser teams to bed.

The January blues of last season would also be ideal to put to bed, a home game to Man City followed by Swansea and newly promoted Huddersfield complete the month. An opportunity to kill two birds with one stone there.

Rafa Benitez returns to Anfield on March the 3rd before Liverpool take the short trip to the bus station, sorry *Old Trafford.  Watford (Home) and Place (Away) round up March.

April sees the return fixture of the Derby on the 7th. Bournemouth Home is another fixture Liverpool fans will be hoping can be put right after last seasons disappointing result.

A potentially massive game in May as Liverpool host current champions Chelsea. Fingers crossed The Reds are still in the running for silverware at this point, that of course if it's not already in the bag!

Which fixture are you looking forward to the most? Any points in the fixture list that have left you wincing?
